INTERIOR DESIGN

The interior design of a home is just as important as the architectural design. It is very important that the interiors reflect those living in the home, not the interior designer.  Working with a professional adds a whole new dimension to the look and feel of any home and most often helps the client save money by avoiding costly mistakes. We are comfortable working in all styles, and strive to make every home a reflection of the owner. We begin each design project with lengthy discussions with the client to determine exactly the right look for their home. We like to see where the client lives now, even if only in photos, just to get a feel for their style. We never insist that a client abandon all of their possessions and start new. If a client has any existing pieces that are special to them, we encourage them to incorporate them into the new project. 

We work with local carpenters, upholsterers, iron workers and tile makers to fabricate beautiful and unique pieces for your project. Most of the pieces seen in these photos were fabricated in Mexico, including the wingback chairs seen in the photo to the right. We work with local artisans to develop custom designs or work from images of existing pieces. If you need custom fabric from the United States, we can help you get the best prices and lead you through the process of bringing them into Mexico.

Working with an interior designer from the beginning of a project is the best way to insure a cohesive design. We work with the client not only to select furnishings, but also wall colors and finishes, tile, stone, flooring and light fixtures. By drawing furniture to scale on our plans, we help our clients design their new home to incorporate existing furnishings with any new pieces they may wish to acquire.
